Hi Lynne, I tried to sign your guest book but the darn security code kept telling me I am blind. (I mean wrong) I sent Cyndi the link to your site. You know we West Virginia hill billys need more art and culture. Although a good bluegrass picker is pretty nice to hear. I finally wrote Amaranth after getting out of the hospital. (hospitals suck, especially the emergency rooms)Take care and enjoy yourself, Al

Yes, I took them all out to clean and check them. I did replace them correctly. I also tried rotating them in each of the four positions (same sequence, different starting slot).
The gap, which is between slides 1 and 2, is less than 1/32 inch.
By swapping slides with another chuck, I think I've determined that slide 1 is the problem. I plan to contact Teknatool to see if I can get replacements.

Did you take any of the jaw slides out? If so, be sure that they went back in the correct slots, and that they all start at the appropriate place on the spiral thread.
How far out of alignment is the bad jaw?

Thanks for the nice welcome back, Moshe. It's nice to know someone is still checking back here, despite my long silence. By the way, not to rub it in, but I didn't have to pay shipping, since my local store (Woodworkers’ Source, in Tucson) had it in stock . . . ;-)

I've been waiting for you to write here again, I really enjoyed the ITE series and was wondering what was going on with you...
I recently went exactly with your choice for the same reasons (I got it for $20 cheaper :-) but shipping to Israel will be a little more $$$)
Enjoy it and Good Luck!

Lynne, your work is wonderful and with so much feeling. ANd your artist statement says it all perfect. I wish I could have said it. I feel very similar about the the woods and the stones I work with. I feel there is nothing finer than working with these natural materials of the Earth. Many people can't believe some of my roots, what they look like all grey & weathered, when I first find them, and then to see the finished piece when I done carving, sanding and finishing it to it's inner beauty. Keep up the great work, or creativity, because what you have, I'm sure you don't see it as work. To me when I create with wood, I get a great amount of pleasure from it. The feel, the smell of the wood, (most of them), they all have a natural beauty that brings enjoyment to me when it's finished.

Hi Lynne,
Got to your site from the Wood Turning Center site. After a year of waiting I just ordered a Oneway 1640 which will be delivered next week. Woohoo.
Neat work you're doing. Love the collaborative arts and artists aspect of it.
Am also thrilled by the fact that I can actually read your name in Kanji and katakana. I lived in Yamaguchi Ken as a child and am now studying Japanese. Syncronicity at work, desu yo.
Keep up the good work.....gambatte kudasai.
