The small works show at Flux Gallery was a success, and we will be leaving the work up at least through the end of July. My bottle stoppers were a big hit, so I’m working on more. I will NOT be working at Flux Gallery again until September, but we will be hanging new work at the beginning of August, so please come by and take a look. Please note that we have changed to summer hours, Wednesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., closed Sunday–Tuesday. If you want to see my work in the meantime, please contact me to set up an appointment at my studio or at Flux Gallery. (Flux, located in Suite 136 at Plaza Palomino [at the southeast corner of Swan and Fort Lowell Rd. in Tucson; in the former home of the Mardon Frost Gallery] is a collective effort with fellow artists Peter Eisner, Shirley Wagner, Karen Dombrowski-Sobel, Maurice Sevigny, Lee Roy Beach, and Carol Ann.)
Phoenix Home and Garden magazine named me one of their 2010 Emerging Artists in their March issue. See the spread here.
May 6–8, I taught two seminars at the Utah Woodturning Symposium, “Filling Cracks: Inlay Basics” and “Beyond Beauty: Inspiration and Expression.” The symposium was held at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. I think it is safe to say that a good time was had by all! I think this is one of the best smaller symposia, with rich offerings in a friendly, casual setting; if you ever get a chance to go, do.
Between shows (I have nothing scheduled until fall), check out my blog and my Google Profile or visit with me on Facebook. You don’t have to be a member to view my public Facebook page. If you are a member, friend me! And if you’re a Twitter fan, tweet me at @lynneyamaguchi. (Be forewarned, though: I’m a sporadic updater, so please be patient.)

My work-for-sale pages are sadly out of date. I am hard at work in my studio making new vessels and will update my site as soon as I can get to it. Please be patient with me in the meantime.
Until my next show (see “News,” above), feel free to contact me at any time to arrange for a private showing of work, at my studio or in your home. In addition, I continuously have pieces for sale at Flux Gallery (Plaza Palomino, at the southeast corner of Swan and Fort Lowell Rd. in Tucson) and at Más y Más gallery (24 Tubac Rd., in Tubac, AZ). I have temporarily withdrawn my work from the Tucson Museum of Art gift shop but will replace it with other work shortly.
I can also share my work long-distance, via webcam. All you need is a relatively fast Internet connection and an instant messaging service such as Windows Live Messenger, AIM, or Skype. You do not need a webcam yourself. Email me and we’ll set up a session!
