“Bloom”: Bubinga bowl on a maple and mahogany stand, 15.88" long × 11.5" deep × 17.25" high

I originally called this piece “Perch” and considered it number 14 in my Flight series. After a customer told me she thought it was a flower, however, that conception came to dominate my image of the piece, so I renamed it. The piece comprises a turned square bubinga bowl on a stand constructed of curly birdseye maple on a mahogany base. The maple branch segments were turned on multiple centers, split, and further shaped before assembly.
