“What Emerges” (Holy Vessel Series No. 4): Natural-edge maple burl vessel with carved foot, 3.88" in diameter

For me, all my vessels are sacred; their making is for me an act of worship. That said, this is another in a series of vessels that formally explore the notion of holiness and especially what signifies holiness with regard to a vessel. This piece uses a hatching-egg form in burl to suggest (re)birth, transformation, resurrection.
